Minecraft - How to Find Gold, Iron, Redstone, Coal and Diamond

First, build a stairway down and you will find:

Coal - To make torches.
Iron - To make armor and tools.
Redstone - To make electricity.
Gold - To make weapons and armor.
Diamonds - To make weapons tools and armor.
